Academic Responsibility Acknowledgment

One World Academy offers a full-day hybrid program in which students who are homeschooled or enrolled in an online school complete their academic coursework on-site each morning, followed by full basketball training in the afternoons.

OWA will do its best to support each student's academic journey — including providing on-site resources and connecting families with tutoring options as they become available.

However, it is the sole responsibility of each family to:

Enroll their student in an accredited homeschool or online academic program of their choice
Cover all financial costs associated with that academic program
Monitor and ensure their student's academic progress and success

I understand that One World Academy is not responsible for my student's academic enrollment, costs, or academic outcomes. My family accepts full responsibility for the academic component of this program. *

Enrollment Waiver & Liability Release

1. Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that participation in basketball training, athletic activities, and physical fitness programs at One World Academy (OWA) involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, and other physical harm. I voluntarily assume all such risks on behalf of my student.

2. Release of Liability
In consideration of my student's participation in OWA programs, I hereby release, waive, and discharge One World Academy, its staff, coaches, volunteers, and facility partners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage sustained by my student during participation in OWA activities — whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency in which I cannot be reached, I authorize OWA staff to seek and consent to emergency medical treatment for my student. I agree to be responsible for all medical expenses incurred.

4. Facility Rules & Code of Conduct
I agree that my student will adhere to all OWA facility rules and the student code of conduct. OWA reserves the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is deemed disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe. No refunds will be issued for dismissals resulting from conduct violations.

5. Payment Policy
I understand that enrollment fees and tuition are due as outlined in my enrollment agreement. I agree to maintain an active payment method on account and understand that failure to maintain payments may result in suspension or termination of enrollment.

6. Photo & Media Release
I understand that OWA may photograph or record video of students during training, events, and programs for promotional and educational purposes. I may indicate my preference below.

7. Governing Agreement
This waiver shall be binding upon me, my heirs, executors, and legal representatives. I have read this document in full, understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily.
