Built Different.

One World Academy is Houston's premier hybrid sports academy — a place where student-athletes don't have to choose between excelling in the classroom and competing at the highest level. Located at 11275 S Sam Houston Pkwy W, Suite 300, our program is designed for serious athletes who are equally serious about their future.

OWA operates within a shared commercial facility. Our campus is an open, professional environment — not a locked-door school. Students are supervised during all scheduled program hours by OWA staff and coaches.

Important Notice — Facility Environment

One World Academy is not a locked-door school. Our facility is a shared commercial space where other businesses operate. Additional staff, vendors, and visitors may be present during OWA program hours. Parents and guardians should be aware of this environment before enrolling their student.

Academic Responsibility — Full Day Program

OWA's Full Day program provides student-athletes with a structured morning workspace to complete coursework from their own homeschool or online academic program. OWA does not provide, manage, or oversee any academic curriculum. It is the sole responsibility of each family to enroll their student in an accredited homeschool or online academic program of their choice, cover all associated costs, and monitor their student's academic progress and outcomes.

Participant Enrollment Agreement, Liability Waiver & Release of Claims

1. Nature of One World Academy — Shared Facility Notice

ONE WORLD ACADEMY ("OWA") IS NOT A LOCKED-DOOR SCHOOL. OWA operates as a hybrid sports academy and educational facility within a shared commercial space. The facility at Suite 300 houses multiple businesses and organizations, and other business activity, staff, vendors, visitors, and members of the public may be present on the premises during OWA operating hours.

OWA does not maintain a closed, secured, or restricted-access campus. Access to the building and surrounding areas is not exclusively controlled by OWA. Parents and guardians enrolling students in OWA programs must understand and accept this shared-environment structure as a fundamental condition of enrollment.

OWA staff will exercise reasonable supervision of enrolled participants during scheduled program hours. However, OWA does not provide the same level of controlled supervision or secured access that a traditional brick-and-mortar school campus may provide.

2. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy

By enrolling a participant in OWA programming, the parent or guardian acknowledges and agrees to the following:

  • Students are dropped off and left in the care of OWA staff during scheduled program hours. OWA does not provide transportation to or from the facility.
  • It is the parent's or guardian's responsibility to ensure timely drop-off and pick-up. OWA staff are not responsible for supervising participants outside of scheduled program hours.
  • OWA is not liable for any incidents, injuries, or events that occur before the start or after the conclusion of a participant's scheduled program time.
  • If a participant is not picked up within a reasonable time following the conclusion of their scheduled session, OWA staff will attempt to contact the parent or guardian at the number on file.

3. Assumption of Risk — Physical Activity

The parent or guardian acknowledges that participation in OWA programs involves strenuous physical activity, including but not limited to:

  • Basketball training, drills, scrimmages, and competitive play
  • Strength and conditioning exercises
  • Speed, agility, and athletic performance training
  • General physical education and fitness activities
  • Any other athletic or movement-based programming offered by OWA

Physical activities of this nature carry inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, contusions, concussions, heat-related illness, cardiovascular events, and other serious injury. The parent or guardian voluntarily assumes all such risks on behalf of the enrolled participant.

The parent or guardian represents that, to the best of their knowledge, the participant is physically capable of participating in vigorous athletic activity and does not have any medical condition that would make such participation inadvisable. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to inform OWA staff of any relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, or physician restrictions prior to the participant's first session.

4. Release of Liability & Waiver of Claims

In consideration of the participant's enrollment in OWA programs, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the parent or guardian, on behalf of themselves, the participant, and their heirs, assigns, and legal representatives, hereby RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, AND AGREES NOT TO SUE One World Academy, One World Youth Organization (OWYO), their owners, operators, employees, coaches, contractors, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liability arising from:

  • Participation in any OWA program, activity, or training session
  • Use of OWA's facility, equipment, or any shared areas of the building
  • The shared-facility nature of OWA's operating environment, including the presence of other businesses, their staff, visitors, or members of the public
  • Any act, omission, negligence, or conduct of OWA staff or agents, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct
  • Any incident occurring during drop-off, pick-up, or outside of the participant's scheduled program hours

5. Academic Responsibility — Full Day Program

OWA's Full Day program provides a structured on-site workspace during morning hours for students to complete coursework from their own homeschool or online academic program. One World Academy does not provide, supervise, direct, or take responsibility for any academic curriculum, instruction, or outcomes.

By enrolling a student in the Full Day program, the parent or guardian expressly acknowledges and agrees that:

  • It is the sole responsibility of the family to enroll the student in an accredited homeschool or online academic program of their choosing
  • All financial costs associated with that academic program are the exclusive responsibility of the family
  • OWA has no role in monitoring, directing, or ensuring the student's academic progress or success
  • OWA is not liable for any academic deficiencies, outcomes, or issues arising from the student's chosen academic program
  • The family accepts full and sole responsibility for the academic component of the student's education

6. Indemnification

The parent or guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless OWA and its staff from any claims, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees), or liability arising from the participant's enrollment or from any breach of this Agreement.

7. Medical Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency and if the parent or guardian cannot be reached, the parent or guardian hereby authorizes OWA staff to seek emergency medical treatment for the participant. The parent or guardian agrees to be financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

8. Photo & Media Release

OWA may photograph or record participants during training sessions and events for use in marketing materials, social media, and promotional content. By enrolling, the parent or guardian grants OWA and OWYO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such images or recordings. If you do not consent, please notify OWA in writing at the time of enrollment.

9. Governing Law & Severability

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10. Acknowledgment

By checking the box below and completing enrollment, the parent or guardian confirms they have read and fully understand this Agreement; that OWA is NOT a locked-door school and operates within a shared commercial facility; that OWA does not provide any academic curriculum and the family accepts full and sole responsibility for the academic component of their student's education; that they voluntarily accept all risks associated with their child's participation in OWA programming; and that they are the parent or legal guardian of the enrolled participant with authority to enter into this Agreement.

Please read and agree to the enrollment agreement above to continue.
